I was going to call this one "Espresso-lution", like the drawing of the "evolution" of man, and the many copies and parodies of the same.
This was not the image I imagined, but, as seems to be a repeating theme here, I was running on empty by the time I got to do my PAD. We had a meeting with a potential client at home, discussing an upcoming Wedding and associated events. I am very pleased to say we reached an agreement, and I will be shooting my first paid wedding in a few weeks. I am stoked. I have covered a few weddings and receptions, but I ahve never been paid for it to date.
After the meeting we were both a bit drained, and I had to force myself to open the camera bag and run out in the rain to get my stands and Off Camera Flash gear form the car. The set-up ended up being simply a softbox at 10:00, bare flash at 4:00 low power, dutch angle for "fun", undo the "fun" in photoshop, but try not to hide it so it looks intentional. Artsy way of hiding a "stuff-up". Oh, I mean, the angle indicates the ... la la la..
I do love the espresso from our machine - a Saeco Via Venezia. Not exactly the cheapest machine for a machine that has no auto-off and only 1 pump, but for the best espresso, I can't complain.
